Answer:

Together we can evaluate your books/products and determine which retail channel is best.   I have an extensive network and experience to present to key buyers for quality evaluation and possible placement in all venues.

How do I go about publishing something I have written?

The best first step is to obtain professional representation.  The literary world is a fairly closed community and those who approve publication work through defined channels.  As a result, having professional representation is like having a good guide in an unfamiliar wilderness.

What do you do as my agent?

First we discuss your property and determine which publishing opportunities are the best fit.  Then, through my extensive network I work with several publishers to place your property and insure the best opportunities for success.  I will be your contact, representative and liaison with those publishers in all negotiation to build the best profit result for you.

Will we have a written contract?

Yes. We will have an agent/author agreement and there will be a small retainer fee.

How do I know if my work is worth publishing?

In addition to my extensive experience, I partner with seasoned veterans who have written books, edited manuscripts and purchased books as buyers. We will provide an honest appraisal of the likelihood the book would be taken by a publisher. Anyone can publish if they are willing to pay costs and have a way to sell their books.

How long does it take to get something published?

Normally properties presented to publishers need 10-18 months of preparation prior to release. If your book/product is time sensitive and needs to be in the marketplace immediately we can work on an accelerated schedule with publishers who can react quickly.

What are the costs associated with getting my book published?

As a part of the process, we will discuss your cost options. Depending on the quality of the work and how it best fits with the chosen publisher, costs may be minimal. If we chose to self-publish, there are many cost variables we will go through in detail.
